Kitty Rogers’ work investigates the ways in which we might record our experience. Exploring the co-relationships of alchemy found in painting and darkroom photography, Kitty looks to capture human moments of perception and memory that transcend or rest within the interplay of past, present and future. Identifying motifs, patterns and images that seek out connections between cognition and biology.

Motherhood and time teaching have compounded this recurring source of interest and inquiry within Kitty’s life and work. Since 2021 she has been developing this series of paintings- exploring the shape of our senses.

Kitty holds a PDE from NCAD, MA in Visual Arts Practice from IADT and graduated from NCAD Fine Art Painting in 2007. She also holds a BA in History of Art and Politics from University College Dublin.

Solo and group exhibitions include Gravity in the Crawford Municipal Gallery Cork 2011, Claremorris Open 2010, Tulca 2009 and Encode Adorn with Meath County Council 2008.  She received a Visual Arts Bursary Award from the Arts council in 2010. Her work is held in both public and private collections.
